We are building something entirely new, and a builder who loves creating and driving culture will thrive here. As a newer company, culture is being established and grown as we speak and the People team is at the heart of it all. The People Team Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a trusted partner to Operations and department leadership, providing hands-on HR support throughout the employee lifecycle. Our ideal candidate is a proactive, approachable, and solutions-oriented HR professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting leaders, and creating a positive team member experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

This will be a full-time remote position for a team member located on the east coast.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner closely with Operations, General Managers, and department leaders to provide guidance and support on employee relations, staffing, performance, and other HR matters.
  • Serve as the primary People Team contact for assigned communities and departments, responding to team member and leadership questions throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Conduct workplace investigations involving employee complaints, misconduct, policy violations, and other employee relations concerns, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up.
  • Advise managers on company policies, employment laws, workplace accommodations, leaves of absence, and HR best practices.
  • Coach leadership on performance management, including progressive counseling, performance reviews, corrective actions, and employee development.
  • Partner with Recruiting and hiring managers to support staffing needs, coordinate hiring activities, and generate accurate offer letters.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring new team members receive a positive introduction to Sentral and all employment documentation is completed.
  • Assist with employee separations, including termination documentation, exit interviews, and coordination with Payroll and Benefits.
  • Partner with Operations to identify employee relations trends, staffing challenges, and opportunities to improve retention and team member engagement.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, Pulse Surveys, recognition programs, and community action plans.
  • Collaborate with the People Team on training and development initiatives, including Sentral Studio, Elevate U, and leadership development programs.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation within Rippling and other HR systems.
  • Partner with Payroll and Benefits to support employee questions, compensation changes, and other employment transactions.
  • Monitor turnover, employee relations activity, and other People metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Support HR compliance initiatives, policy updates, process improvements, and other People Team projects as needed.

Skills and Experience

  • 3–5+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role.
  • Experience in hospitality, multifamily, property management, or a multi-location environment preferred.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations, managing employee relations, and advising managers on performance issues.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance practices.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee documentation, and offboarding processes.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coach managers, navigate sensitive conversations, and provide practical HR guidance.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and support multiple locations.
  • Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems; Rippling and Breezy experience preferred.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential information.
  • Collaborative, service-minded approach with a passion for supporting people and creating a positive workplace culture.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
