The Assistant Branch Manager supports the advancement of our Bank’s market position and financial growth, and advanced Shinhan’s presence in the community. The individual leverages their knowledge of mortgage administration, a strong understanding of the market and lead the team to ensure that the Bank is able to develop strong relationships with clients and a positive customer experience. Also, responsible for the oversight functions relating to the branch covering Risk, Compliance, Audit and other regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities • Provide excellent service to customers to meet their day-to-day banking needs• Oversee financial transactions; opening/closing accounts, deposits, withdrawals, bill payments, and other account transactions for customers accurately and efficiently• Resolve customer problems and escalate issues appropriately• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Bank’s campaigns, products, services, and distribution channels that lead to increase in sales• Develop and maintain relationships with the KSC, community, existing and new depository customers• Professionally serve existing VIP and business customers• Contribute to the achievement of branch KPI objectives by meeting or exceeding individual sales goals • Support the sales team plan that has been developed to lead to the achievement of client sales targets• Understand and provide insight to business development efforts to build client portfolio and turn this into increased business• Manage the reports that analyze performance against forecasts and sales targets• Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets• Understand the bank’s goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the bank’s performance• Responsible for oversight functions relating to the branch covering Risk, Compliance, Audit and other regulatory • Improve team’s efficiency by coaching and recommending improvements to work practices, bank operations and processes related to customer experience• Authorize and confirm all daily transactions in branch and managing branch supplies and expense budget• Monitor branch performances and manage branch employees• Additional duties as deemed necessary Job Requirements Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Work Experience Requirements: 5-10 years (must have branch experience) • Skilled in assessing new and existing customer needs, providing quality advice and recommendations• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated skills to effectively organize and prioritize work volumes• Sound knowledge of financial analysis, risk evaluation, loan documentation and commercial loan structures• Ability to generate new business, identify business opportunities – grow and maintain client relationships• Flexibility to withstand unpredictable changes to schedule and deadlines• Strong teamwork orientation• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build quality, long-term relationships with clients• Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)• Previous experience in Financial Service (FS) role is an asset• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada People Management Experience Requirements: 3-5 years of people management experience is preferred Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of Administration processes, practices and proceduresRisk, compliance and audit mindsetPlanning and OrganizingCanadian laws and regulationsLocal market knowledgeKnowledge of Policy Development ProcessProject managementSpecialized subject matter expertise and knowledgeAdaptability & FlexibilityLearning mindset (Continuous learning)Collaboration & TeamworkEffective interactive communicationInitiativeInnovativenessInformation/ Data seekingAttention to detail and qualityStrategic orientationResults orientationConflict managementExecution skillsDeveloping othersOrganizational awarenessRelationship building
