Job Description
The O&P Assistant is responsible for the measurement, casting, modification, fabrication and fitting of prosthetic and orthotic devices under the direct supervision of an ABC Certified Practitioner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the timely and compliant patient documentation utilizing OPIE EMR system and supporting front office staff.
- Responsible to monitor their WIP and direct the technical staff in fabrication of specific orthotic and prosthetic devices following an organized and orderly work flow with reasonable delivery dates of the orthosis/prosthesis to patients.
- The knowledge and ability to safely use equipment related to the O&P industry.
- Design and supervise the fabrication of safe and functional prosthetic and orthotic devices.
Required Qualifications:
- ABC Certification as an Orthotics/Prosthetics Assistant or Board Eligible.
- The ability to work in a dynamic and diverse environment with a patient population exhibiting physical disabilities.
- Computer skills for data entry, digital scanning and digital model modification.

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
