Company Description

Ready Set Rocket (A Sia Company), partners with ambitious brands to solve complex business challenges through integrated marketing, digital experience, customer strategy, creative, media, data and technology. We are building on significant momentum and investing in the next stage of our growth. Our clients look to us for strategic partnership that connects business objectives with measurable outcomes across the full customer journey.

Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to create engaging, gamified digital learning experiences for audiences across a range of ages and knowledge levels. From early wireframes through high-fidelity interactive prototypes, you’ll translate curriculum and content requirements into experiences that are intuitive, visually compelling, and genuinely enjoyable to use.

This is a hands-on, client-embedded role based onsite full-time in New York City. Working alongside the client team will allow you to collaborate closely, gather feedback in real time, and move ideas from concept to approval quickly. This opportunity is best suited for an early-to-mid career designer with strong foundational skills, fresh thinking, and the potential to grow—not someone seeking a senior or design leadership position.

Your Impact

  • Design end-to-end UI/UX for gamified and educational digital experiences, from wireframes and user flows through polished, interactive prototypes.
  • Turn curriculum, learning objectives, and complex content into clear, accessible, and engaging user experiences.
  • Adapt designs for different age groups, knowledge levels, and learning needs.
  • Partner closely with content and curriculum creators to ensure the experience and lesson library evolve cohesively.
  • Establish and maintain visual and interaction consistency across a growing collection of lessons, modules, and experiences.
  • Present design concepts and recommendations to client stakeholders, clearly explaining the thinking behind your decisions.
  • Incorporate feedback quickly while maintaining the quality and integrity of the overall experience.
  • Collaborate onsite with the client team to accelerate design, review, and approval cycles.

What Success Looks Like

  • Learners can navigate each experience intuitively and remain engaged throughout the lesson.
  • Educational requirements are transformed into interfaces that feel approachable and rewarding rather than overly instructional.
  • New lessons and modules can be added efficiently without sacrificing design consistency or usability.
  • Design concepts progress quickly from initial thinking to client-ready prototypes.
  • Client stakeholders view you as a responsive, thoughtful partner who can balance feedback, user needs, and creative judgment.
  • You contribute fresh ideas, strong execution, and a clear growth trajectory as the experience continues to expand.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated UI/UX design experience supported by a strong portfolio; candidates should be prepared to walk through their work and explain their process, decisions, and individual contributions.
  • Proficiency with Figma or comparable contemporary design and prototyping tools.
  • Strong fundamentals in wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, information hierarchy, and visual design.
  • Ability to translate complex content and requirements into simple, user-friendly digital experiences.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to share work directly with client stakeholders.
  • Ability to receive feedback, solve problems collaboratively, and iterate at speed.
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite full-time in New York City as part of a client-embedded team.
  • Experience designing games, gamified products, edtech, or e-learning experiences is highly valued.
  • Experience designing for children, younger users, or audiences spanning multiple age groups is a plus.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving agency or client-services environment is preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
