Job Description:
Essential Function
This role will report into the Senior Manager of Business Operations, with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Business Operations.
This role is responsible for analyzing, documenting, improving, and implementing business processes, governance structures, accountability systems, and operating models that support strategic business objectives and organizational transformation. This position will initially support the Silfex and Lam Research integration effort by partnering with functional leaders and subject matter experts to assess current-state processes, define future-state requirements, develop governance and ownership models, support organizational readiness, and advance adoption of Lam standard processes and ways of working.
The Business Analyst will use project and program management disciplines to organize workstreams, manage risks and dependencies, coordinate deliverables, and support timely execution. Project management is an enabling capability for this role, while the primary focus remains business analysis, process alignment, governance development, change management, and sustainable adoption. Following successful completion of the initial integration, the role will support the Business Operations team in deploying established standards, operating systems, and the business model to the company next site.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Process Analysis and Transformation
· Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes across integration functions using appropriate business analysis and process-design methods.
· Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, process reviews, and cross-functional workshops.
· Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, control weaknesses, unclear ownership, and opportunities for standardization or improvement.
· Translate business needs into documented requirements, workflows, operating procedures, and implementation recommendations.
· Evaluate Silfex processes against Lam standards and document areas of alignment, transition requirements, and approved exceptions.
· Use business metrics, stakeholder feedback, and structured analysis to support recommendations and decisions.
Governance, Operating Model, and Integration
· Partner with functional leaders to define process ownership, decision rights, RASCI models, accountability structures, and escalation paths.
· Support alignment of operating cadences, including QORs, business reviews, metrics, planning processes, and management systems.
· Document governance models, policies, procedures, controls, and methods to monitor process performance and adoption.
· Coordinate transformation activities across Operations, HR, Finance, IT, Legal, Tax, Global Trade, EHS, Payroll, Supply Chain, Product Management, Engineering, Branding, and other affected functions.
· Identify and manage integration impacts, dependencies, decisions, risks, and readiness requirements.
· Facilitate cross-functional alignment, issue resolution, transition to business ownership, and lessons-learned activities.
Change Management and Business Readiness
· Conduct stakeholder assessments, change-impact analyses, and organizational readiness evaluations.
· Develop and coordinate communication, engagement, training, adoption, and readiness plans.
· Prepare employees and process owners for new responsibilities, systems, processes, policies, and operating expectations.
· Define measurable adoption criteria, monitor implementation effectiveness, and recommend corrective actions.
· Reinforce sustainable adoption through documentation, training, metrics, and accountability routines.
Project and Program Management
· Use project and program management practices to organize and execute integration and business transformation initiatives.
· Develop and maintain project charters, integrated workplans, milestone schedules, action registers, risk and issue logs, decision logs, and dependency trackers.
· Define scope, objectives, deliverables, owners, resource requirements, schedules, and success criteria.
· Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and workstreams to complete deliverables according to approved plans.
· Identify and mitigate project risks; escalate unresolved issues and critical decisions to appropriate leadership.
· Manage changes to scope, schedule, requirements, priorities, and implementation plans through appropriate governance.
· Facilitate working sessions, project reviews, governance meetings, and executive updates.
· Prepare executive dashboards, status reports, recommendations, and decision materials; implement corrective actions for off-track work.
Continuous Improvement and Future Responsibilities
· Apply Lean, process mapping, gap analysis, root-cause analysis, requirements traceability, and structured problem-solving methods to improve business performance.
· Capture lessons learned and develop repeatable business analysis, governance, change management, and transformation practices.
· Following successful completion of the initial integration, support the Business Operations team in deploying established standards, operating systems, and the business model to the company next site. Perform duties related to special projects or assignments and other responsibilities as assigned by department management.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Organizational Development, Engineering, or a related field.
· Eight or more years of relevant experience in business analysis, business transformation, process improvement, operational excellence, management consulting, project management, program management, or a related discipline.
· Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
· Demonstrated experience analyzing and documenting complex, cross-functional business processes and translating requirements into process designs, governance mechanisms, and implementation plans.
· Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder interviews, requirements sessions, process reviews, and cross-functional decision-making.
· Working knowledge of process mapping, SIPOC, RASCI, governance design, organizational readiness, and change management practices.
· Demonstrated PM experience supporting complex, multi-workstream initiatives, including schedules, action registers, risk and issue logs, decision logs, executive reporting, and project closeout.
· Ability to coordinate stakeholders, manage competing priorities, influence without direct authority, and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, SharePoint, and project or portfolio management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting a business integration, merger, acquisition, organizational transformation, or enterprise-scale change initiative.
· Experience in a semiconductor, manufacturing, industrial, or technology environment.
· Experience with ERP implementations, enterprise systems, operating-model deployment, or greenfield initiatives.
· Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, value-stream mapping, root-cause analysis, Planview, Microsoft Project, or comparable methods and tools.
· CBAP, Prosci, Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, or comparable certification.
Success Measures
· Completion and quality of SIPOCs, current-state assessments, future-state process maps, requirements, and process documentation.
· Identification and resolution of process, ownership, governance, and organizational readiness gaps.
· Implementation of RASCI models, decision rights, process ownership, accountability structures, operating cadences, metrics, and governance mechanisms.
· Clear documentation and approval of Lam-standard process alignment and required Silfex exceptions.
· Effective execution of stakeholder engagement, communication, training, change management, and business readiness plans.
· Demonstrated adoption and sustained use of approved future-state processes and ways of working.
· Timely completion of milestones and deliverables, with effective management of risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and actions.
· Quality, clarity, accuracy, and timeliness of executive reporting and decision support.
· Successful transition of completed integration processes into accountable business ownership.
· Development of reusable standards and operating practices that can support deployment to the company next site.
· Development of repeatable transformation practices and successful transition to supporting the Business Operations team following completion of the initial integration.
