Job Description

ABOUT SINCH Sinch is pioneering the way the world communicates. More than 150,000 businesses — including Google, Uber, Paypal, Visa, Tinder, and many others — rely on Sinch’s Customer Communications Cloud to power engaging customer experiences through mobile messaging, voice, and email. Whether you need to verify users or craft omnichannel campaigns, Sinch makes it easy. Our AI-infused Super Network, APIs, and applications ensure you can connect with your customers reliably and securely, at every step of their journey. At Sinch we “Dream Big”, “Win Together”, “Keep it simple”, and “Make it Happen”. These values are our foundation! Description The Account & Access team sits at the very heart of Sinch's central platform. We own the customer account model and the high-performance access control engine powering the Sinch Build portfolio of products. Our mission is critical: we design the systems that shape how both external customers and internal product teams securely interact with our platform. Every piece of code you write here directly impacts the customer experience, platform security, and developer velocity. As our new Software Engineer III, you will take end-to-end ownership in a collaborative, "you build it, you run it" environment. Specifically, you will: • Architect & Build: Design, test, and operate highly available, distributed services for customer accounts and secure access control (APIs, customer-facing UIs, and internal admin panels). • Own Platform Security: Drive the development of the core engine making security and authorization decisions across our API gateway and web interfaces. • Empower Internal Developers: Create intuitive tools, robust documentation, and developer-friendly capabilities that simplify how other Sinch product teams build on our platform. • Drive the Full Lifecycle: Own features from initial ideation to production. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize services, resolving complex latency, security, and connectivity challenges. • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Product, Design, and sister engineering teams to align platform solutions with wider organizational goals. Requirements You are a product-minded engineer who is passionate about building robust, scalable, and secure solutions. You have a strong sense of ownership and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your work has a big impact. Your experience: • 4+ years of professional experience building and operating critical production-grade services. • Full-Stack capability: Solid experience in both backend and frontend development. • Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Kotlin, Typescript, Spring, React. • Hands-on experience in technologies like MySQL, Postgres, Redis and Kafka. • Practical knowledge in containerization and building Cloud-native solutions – e.g. AWS, Docker, Kubernetes. • Experience leveraging observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Datadog) to proactively monitor and debug distributed systems.

Nice to have: • Background working at a strong product-focused company, with an understanding of how engineering contributes to building great customer experiences. • Solid grasp of modern identity and authorization paradigms like OAuth2 and OpenID Connect (OIDC), RBAC and ABAC. • Experience with performance, load, and reliability testing for distributed systems.

Salary: The monthly salary for this position is between 50,370 and 65,000 SEK. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
