The posting

Job Description

Sinch is pioneering the way the world communicates. More than 150,000 businesses — including Google, Uber, PayPal, Visa, Tinder, and many others — rely on Sinch’s Customer Communications Cloud to power engaging customer experiences through mobile messaging, voice, and email.

Whether you need to verify users or craft omnichannel campaigns, Sinch makes it easy. Our AI-infused Super Network, APIs, and applications ensure you can connect with your customers reliably and securely, at every step of their journey.

At Sinch we “Dream Big”, “Win Together”, “Keep it simple”, and “Make it Happen”. These values are our foundation!

The Role

Our Onboarding team owns how new customers sign up to Sinch and get verified (KYC). It is the very first experience every customer has with us, so it needs to be fast, simple, and secure.

As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will design and deliver features end to end across our React frontend and Node.js backend. You will join a small Stockholm-based team alongside a Senior full-stack Tech Lead and a full-stack engineer, as we grow a permanent team that takes full ownership of the product. You will turn unclear requests into clear plans, make sound technical decisions, and help raise the bar for the team. You will collaborate with the Engineering Manager, Product, and cross-functional teams. This is a hybrid role, working from our Stockholm office.

What You Will Do

  • Design and build features end to end, from React UI to Node.js and TypeScript services.
  • Design and build REST APIs and work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
  • Write tests on both backend and frontend, and keep quality high through code reviews and CI/CD.
  • Turn unclear requests into clear plans.
  • Make good technical decisions and explain the trade-offs.
  • Suggest a simpler option when a feature is not worth the cost.
  • Reduce production issues by finding root causes.
  • Take ownership of the result, not only the code.
  • Improve others through code reviews and mentoring.
  • Follow a build-ship-run approach.

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience in Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Strong skills building and designing REST APIs.
  • Good knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
  • Solid skills in React (hooks, state management, component design).
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web performance basics.
  • Experience writing tests on both backend and frontend.
  • Experience with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD.
  • Ability to design features end to end and explain your choices.
  • Ability to work independently on large and unclear tasks.
  • Clear communication in English, written and spoken.
  • Willingness to work hybrid from our Stockholm office.

Nice to have

  • Working experience with Java (Spring or Spring Boot).
  • Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
  • Experience with Docker and a cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Knowledge of security best practices.

OUR HIRING PROCESS

We are committed to ensuring a recruitment process that is fair, objective, consistent, and inclusive. Our approach includes structured, competency-based interviews designed to evaluate your skills, experience, and qualifications relevant to the role. At times, we may include a data-driven assessment to enhance our hiring success and identify candidates likely to excel.

We believe in a two-way process and encourage you to ask questions throughout the journey. If this role isn’t what you’re looking for, please explore the other opportunities listed on our career page: https://www.sinch.com/careers/. No matter who you are, we hope you find an exciting path forward - hopefully with us!

The pay range for this role is SEK 745,000-1,110,000 per year depending on experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
