Job Title: 310T Mechanic Apprentice Location: North York Wage: $30-35 per hour Shift: Straight Days Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our client's team as a 310T Apprentice. This position offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of heavy-duty vehicles. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining practical experience and knowledge necessary to obtain your 310T Truck and Coach Technician certification. Key Responsibilities: Assist in Maintenance and Repairs: Support senior technicians in performing scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment such as trucks, buses, and trailers. Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and manuals. Assist in troubleshooting issues to determine root causes and recommend appropriate repairs. Parts and Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory levels of parts and supplies. Learn to identify and requisition necessary parts for repairs and maintenance tasks. Adherence to Safety Standards: Adhere to company and industry safety standards and regulations. Participate in safety training sessions and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Documentation and Reporting: Assist in documenting maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and hours worked. Learn to accurately complete work orders and service reports. Professional Development: Actively participate in on-the-job training and educational opportunities provided by the company. Work towards completing the necessary hours and competencies required for 310T certification. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in or completed a recognized apprenticeship program (310T preferred). Basic understanding of mechanical systems and a strong interest in heavy-duty vehicles. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
