About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our product engineering teams. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain backend services that power Sitecore’s cloud platforms. You will own features starting from design phase, development testing and production investigations and maintenance while working closely with product managers, architects, and other developers in a distributed, international environment.

This is a senior individual contributor role with strong expectations around technical ownership, system design, and delivery quality.

What You Will Do

- Design, build, ship, and maintain production-grade backend services and secure, performant, observable façade and common APIs using REST and/or GraphQL.

- Develop cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure, including data-intensive solutions using Azure Cosmos DB.

- Deliver features, bug fixes, and hotfixes to engineering standards, and troubleshoot complex, high-impact production issues.

- Write testable, maintainable code with strong test coverage, improve CI/CD and automated deployments, and use AI-assisted tools responsibly to enhance productivity.

- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams to refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical designs.

- Mentor developers through code reviews and technical discussions and help evolve engineering best practices.

What You Need to Succeed:

- 6+ years of software development experience, with strong backend expertise in C# and .NET Core and/or .NET Framework.

- Proven experience designing and consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs, with solid understanding of object-oriented design, asynchronous programming, scalability, performance, and reliability.

- Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience, including Azure Cosmos DB or other distributed NoSQL stores, plus relational databases such as SQL Server.

- Practical Docker experience, familiarity with Kubernetes, and experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern branching strategies.

- Proven unit and integration testing experience, and confidence using AI-assisted developer tools within development workflows.

- Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed, cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:

- Previous experience working on SaaS or enterprise platforms

- Familiarity with Sitecore products (XM Cloud, XP, SXA, or related technologies)

- Experience designing systems using event‑driven or distributed architectures

- Experience with infrastructure‑oriented or deployment tooling

- Interest in developer productivity, automation, or applied use of AI in software development

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
