The Opportunity

At Sitetracker, you'll play a critical role in designing and delivering complex, scalable Salesforce solutions that address our customers' most challenging business needs. You'll own the technical architecture of high-impact custom features and integrations, ensuring solutions are robust, performant, and aligned with Sitetracker's engineering standards. This opportunity offers the autonomy to solve complex technical challenges, mentor fellow engineers, and influence the evolution of our platform through close collaboration with customers and our Product team.

What You'll Do

You'll lead the technical design and development of complex custom solutions built on the Sitetracker platform, translating challenging customer requirements into scalable, maintainable Salesforce architectures. You'll take ownership of technical design decisions, implementation quality, and architectural integrity while ensuring customizations align with platform best practices and minimize technical debt.

You'll serve as a technical leader within our FDE team, guiding fellow engineers through complex development challenges, participating in code reviews, and helping establish consistent engineering standards. You'll proactively identify and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and architectural risks while driving continuous improvements in development practices.

You'll work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, recommend effective technical solutions, and communicate progress throughout the development lifecycle. You'll also collaborate with the core Sitetracker Product team to identify recurring customization needs and share architectural insights that may influence future product enhancements.

Success in this role means delivering high-quality solutions on time, maintaining strong customer relationships, meeting delivery and utilization expectations, and consistently demonstrating ownership of both technical outcomes and customer success.

The Skills You'll Have

1. Salesforce Development Experience

  • You've authored technical design documents for multiple high-complexity Salesforce solutions, with a strong emphasis on scalability, maintainability, and minimizing technical debt.
  • You've demonstrated advanced Apex development expertise, including asynchronous processing patterns such as Queueable Apex and Platform Events, while consistently producing reusable, efficient, and thoroughly tested code.
  • You've designed and developed complex, performant Lightning Web Components that manage application state and interact effectively with external systems.
  • You've established reusable Salesforce development frameworks and effectively used AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation, troubleshooting, and code quality while applying sound engineering judgment and review practices.
  • You've proactively identified and resolved significant performance bottlenecks or technical debt within existing Salesforce solutions, improving overall system reliability and efficiency.

2. Communication

  • You communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, ensuring stakeholders understand proposed solutions and technical decisions.
  • You've collaborated with internal stakeholders throughout the feature development lifecycle, maintaining alignment from initial requirements through implementation and delivery.
  • You provide clear, professional updates, proactively communicate challenges, and ensure technical and non-technical stakeholders remain informed throughout development.
  • You've worked directly with external customers throughout the feature development lifecycle, building productive relationships and communicating technical progress effectively.
  • You've led customer requirements discussions and demonstrated completed solutions, translating technical functionality into meaningful business value.

3. Work Management

  • You've independently managed and delivered multiple complex custom implementation projects from technical design through development, testing, and deployment.
  • You accurately estimate development effort for complex features, accounting for technical dependencies, implementation risks, and potential technical debt.
  • You've proactively identified architectural and delivery risks, including data-volume challenges and integration stability concerns, and implemented mitigation strategies before they impacted project outcomes.
  • You've developed or improved engineering processes, such as deployment workflows, environment management, or technical quality assurance practices, that increased delivery efficiency and consistency.
  • You've successfully balanced high-priority architectural initiatives, complex feature development, and mentorship responsibilities while consistently maintaining engineering quality and delivery commitments.

4. Customer Facing

  • You've led technical discovery sessions with customers, translating complex or ambiguous business requirements into clearly defined technical specifications.
  • You've presented proposed technical solutions directly to customers, confidently explaining architectural decisions and addressing technical questions or concerns.
  • You've established credibility and trust with customer stakeholders, becoming a reliable technical resource for complex implementation decisions and challenges.
  • You've influenced customer technical roadmaps or integration strategies, aligning business objectives with scalable Salesforce and Sitetracker best practices.
  • You've transformed vague or competing customer requirements into clear, technically sound statements of work that support sustainable, long-term solutions.

Within 90 Days, You'll

  • Develop a strong understanding of Sitetracker's Salesforce architecture, development standards, and FDE delivery processes, building the technical foundation needed to contribute to complex customer solutions.
  • Independently design, develop, test, and deliver your first customer-facing customization or feature, demonstrating proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce development best practices.
  • Establish productive working relationships with engineering, Product, and customer-facing teams, actively participating in technical discovery, solution design discussions, and code reviews.

Within 180 Days, You'll

  • Take end-to-end technical ownership of multiple complex customer implementations, from requirements discovery and architectural design through development, testing, and deployment, consistently meeting delivery and quality expectations.
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource for customers and internal stakeholders, independently leading technical discussions, recommending scalable solutions, and proactively addressing architectural risks and performance challenges.
  • Contribute to engineering excellence by mentoring fellow developers, improving reusable development frameworks, and identifying opportunities to streamline delivery processes and reduce technical debt.

Within 365 Days, You'll

  • Establish yourself as a technical leader within the FDE team, consistently delivering high-impact, scalable Salesforce solutions while influencing architectural decisions and engineering best practices.
  • Drive measurable improvements in engineering efficiency, solution quality, and customer outcomes through reusable technical frameworks, proactive performance optimization, and continuous process improvements.
  • Partner with customers, engineering leadership, and the core Sitetracker Product team to identify recurring technical challenges, influence long-term solution strategies, and contribute insights that shape future platform enhancements.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
