The posting

The Senior Casino Accounting Associate is responsible for the audits and balances of all revenue and expense-related documents with revenue received and expenses paid. In addition, work with the Teams in answering their questions regarding their daily audits, and cover audits for vacations, sick time or auditors that are behind.

  • Assisting in the auditing process as and when required.
  • Complete audits on time and submit reports to Supervisor & Manager.
  • Reporting auditing issues and assisting in resolving them.
  • Research and verify cash variances.
  • Review all requirements completed by auditors and sign off checklists.
  • Prepare accrual, reversing and adjusting journal entries as needed.
  • Conduct audit tasks in operational areas as needed.
  • Send out daily over/short reports.
  • Assist Supervisor In the training of new staff.
  • Performs audits assigned in an efficient and accurate manner daily.
  • Follows rules and regulations to the letter.
  • Enters daily information into revenue audit report forms, runs reports, and reviews documentation for accuracy.
  • Prepares journal entries, tracks coupons used on property, records variances, and other accounting-related functions.
  • Prepares, verifies, and issues daily operating reports.
  • Writes and maintains departmental audit procedures and checklists.
  • Assists with the monitoring of all financial activities on property, with respect to revenue accounting, ensuring all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and controls of the property, the Federal and State Tax Commissions, and the Gaming Commission are enforced throughout the Revenue Accounting Area of the Finance Department.
  • Processes and analyzes information from numerous sources for reconciliation and determination of submissions required by law.
  • Generates daily reports and reconciles large audit variances.
  • Prepares Exceptions Reports for non-compliance issues.
  • Generates clear and legible scanned images for the audit and accounting processes.
  • Picks up paperwork for the audits on the casino floor.
  • Prepares daily revenue and expense reports.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of internal activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • High school diploma. GED, or relevant experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Prior casino gaming or hotel experience preferred.
