CDL-A Heavy Haul Driver – Sumner, WA

Join a dedicated heavy haul operation starting in Sumner, WA, hauling preloaded freight across Washington and nearby Idaho communities. Experienced drivers and trainees are welcome. Routes return to Sumner, with live unloads and required weekend work.

Pay & Schedule

  • Experienced driver weekly pay: Account lists $1,400–$1,800; actual earnings depend on the pay package, miles, and schedule
  • Trainee pay: $900
  • Stop pay: $15
  • Local runs of 24 miles or less: $20 per hour
  • Driver Performance Bonus available, subject to program requirements
  • Pay includes a base rate and loaded-mileage rate; see the account pay package for exact rates
  • Day and night shifts available
  • Weekend work is required when the customer is operating
  • Drivers following the specified schedule without restrictions and taking only a 34-hour reset weekly may earn up to $1,400 per week, according to the account notes
  • Weekly 34-hour reset

Job Details

  • Dedicated heavy haul operation
  • Starting location: Sumner, WA
  • Routes cover major Washington cities and nearby Idaho communities, including areas near Coeur d’Alene and Clarkston, plus Vancouver, WA
  • All freight is preloaded
  • Live unloads at customer locations
  • Some drop-and-hook loads
  • Routes return to Sumner
  • Chaining may be required depending on weather and road conditions
  • The customer facility is next to the terminal

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Experienced drivers and trainees may apply
  • Clean driving record
  • Valid DOT Medical Card
  • No SAP drivers
  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Must be able to chain when required
  • Must meet applicable account and equipment qualification standards
