The Clean Energy Regulator is seeking a highly motivated, outcomes-focused Business Analyst who demonstrates initiative, takes ownership, and drives work forward. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator who builds trusted relationships, brings people together, and creates alignment across diverse stakeholder groups to achieve outcomes.

This role suits someone who is proactive, highly organised, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and enjoys working across multiple concurrent initiatives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships and trusted partnerships across business and technical teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, discussions and stakeholder engagement activities to understand business needs and align priorities.
  • Elicit, analyse and document business requirements, processes, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Drive activities forward by proactively identifying risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Support planning activities including backlog management, business case development, roadmaps and delivery planning.
  • Communicate progress, insights, risks and recommendations to support effective decision-making.
  • Work across multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining focus on outcomes and delivery.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Personnel Requirements

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organisation.
  • A strong track record of building relationships, bringing people together, and creating alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership and accountability, with a proven ability to drive outcomes and follow through on commitments.
  • An action-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems and create momentum without waiting to be directed.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience eliciting, analysing and documenting business requirements and translating them into actionable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in fast paced Agile delivery environments and using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • A collaborative, positive and pragmatic approach that contributes to team success and organisational culture.
