The Team You're Joining

  • SFOC's Organizing & Communications Team works toward a shared goal of tackling the climate crisis - building solidarity with civil society organizations to help SFOC's policy proposals and campaign messages reach and resonate across society.
  • Rather than reacting to individual issues one at a time, we develop campaign strategy within the bigger picture of major industrial transitions - such as steel and energy - and design collaborations connecting civil society, media, and policymakers to drive real, lasting change.
  • We take pride in knowing that our campaign outcomes translate directly into greenhouse gas reductions with real social impact, and we value a culture where colleagues think through strategy together and grow as a team.

How You'll Contribute

  • Lead and manage SFOC's steel industry greenhouse gas reduction campaign
  • Develop campaign strategy and messaging on the steel industry transition
  • Build and operate coalitions and partnerships with civil society organizations
  • Plan and execute press conferences, policy proposals, and online/offline campaigns

Who We're Looking For

  • Experience planning mid-to-long-term campaigns in climate/energy or industrial transition
  • Ability to craft messaging and content that builds social consensus
  • Experience planning and running joint campaigns with civil society organizations
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (Korean language proficiency required)

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with civil society organizations.
  • Experience in climate change-related activities and campaigns.
  • Understanding of climate, energy, and industrial decarbonization issues.
  • Experience conducting campaign activities outside Seoul / the Seoul metropolitan area.
