The posting

Jij beheert de infrastructuur waarop systemen draaien die miljoenen Nederlanders dagelijks gebruiken, van de Politie tot de OV-chipkaart. Tegelijkertijd sta je aan het begin van een grote technologische transitie: van VMware naar Proxmox en OpenStack. Als Senior Platform Engineer bij Solvinity beheer je een kritieke productieomgeving én bouw je mee aan de toekomst van het platform.

Dit ga je doen

Je maakt deel uit van het Platform-team: een hechte groep van zo'n twaalf ervaren engineers. Dit team is verantwoordelijk voor de interne infrastructuur waarop alle klanten van Solvinity draaien. Het gaat om virtualisatie, storage, backup en het onderliggende besturingssysteem. Jij bent een van de specialisten die dit platform draaiende houdt en doorontwikkelt. De omgeving is nu gebaseerd op VMware en NetApp. De komende twee jaar migreert het virtualisatie platform naar Proxmox en OpenStack. Die migratie loopt al. Jij pakt de bestaande VMware-omgeving op en groeit tegelijkertijd mee naar de nieuwe technologie.

Wat je dagelijks doet:

  • Je beheert en optimaliseert de VMware-omgeving: vSphere met ESXi en vCenter, Loginsight, vCloud, Aria Operations, Clusterbeheer met vSphere HA en DRS.
  • Je beheert de NetApp-storage: SVMs en Volumes, ISCSI, NFS en CIFS, Replicatie en snapshots.
  • Je lost complexe technische problemen op over compute, storage en networking.
  • Je bewaakt de capaciteit, prestaties en het lifecyclemanagement van het platform, inclusief patches en upgrades.
  • Je draagt actief bij aan de migratie naar Proxmox en OpenStack.

Naast deze kerntaken handel je dagelijkse beheerwerkzaamheden af: incidenten, wijzigingen en serviceverzoeken. Je stelt technische documentatie en runbooks op en houdt deze actueel. Je neemt ook deel aan de waakdiensten, gemiddeld één op de tien dagen.

  • Salaris van € 4750 tot € 6500 bruto per maand, afhankelijk van kennis en ervaring.

Je werkt hybride: deels op locatie, deels vanuit huis. De werkweek is 32 tot 40 uur, die je flexibel kunt invullen. Solvinity investeert structureel in jouw ontwikkeling. Je volgt functie-gerelateerde opleidingen en trainingen, en na twee jaar in dienst ontvang je €1.000 extra opleidingsbudget dat je volledig zelf mag invullen. Denk aan coaching, seminars of inhoudelijke cursussen. Elk jaar bespreek je jouw persoonlijke opleidingsplan en bepaal je samen met Solvinity de volgende stap in jouw loopbaan.

Wie ben jij?

Je bent een ervaren senior engineer met sterke kennis van VMware en NetApp. Je werkt zelfstandig in complexe productieomgevingen en neemt verantwoordelijkheid voor wat je oppakt. Tegelijkertijd ben je een echte teamspeler: je deelt kennis, communiceert helder en draagt bij aan een goede samenwerking binnen het team.

Ben je al bekend met Proxmox? Mooi meegenomen. Heb je nog geen Proxmox-ervaring, maar wel de motivatie om dit snel op te pakken? Dan nodigen we je alsnog van harte uit om te reageren.

Dit breng je mee:

  • Minimaal 10 jaar relevante ervaring met IT-infrastructuur, zowel in beheer als in projecten.
  • Diepgaande kennis van VMware (vSphere/ESXi/VCF) in productieomgevingen, inclusief upgrades en lifecyclemanagement.
  • Aantoonbare praktijkervaring met NetApp ONTAP in productieomgevingen.
  • Kennis van SAN (iSCSI) en NAS (NFS en CIFS).
  • Ervaring met Linux- en/of Windows-systeembeheer.

Je hebt ook ervaring met scripting en automatisering, zoals PowerShell, Python of Bash. Je bent bekend met back-up- en herstelprocedures in productieomgevingen en hebt gewerkt met ticketingsystemen zoals ServiceNow. Je communiceert vlot in het Nederlands of Engels op minimaal C1-niveau. Als je al kennis of ervaring hebt met OpenStack, back-upsoftware zoals Veeam, Infrastructure as Code (zoals Ansible of Terraform) of een VMware VCP- of NetApp NCDA-certificering, dan is dat helemaal mooi meegenomen.
