Cashier/Sales Assistant (Part-Time)

SPAR Inver Service Station, Paddy Brown's Road, Waterford is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Part-Time Cashier/Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, operating the till, maintaining store standards, and assisting with the day-to-day running of the store. The successful candidate will be available to work evening shifts and have flexibility to work weekends as required.

Hours: 2-3 shifts per week, including some weekend work

Shift Pattern: Evening shifts from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service
  • Operate the till and process cash, card and electronic payments accurately
  • Assist customers with queries and product information
  • Replenish stock, rotate products and assist with deliveries
  • Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness and food safety
  • Follow company policies and health and safety procedures
  • Support the day-to-day running of the store and carry out general store duties as required
  • Previous retail or cashier experience is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions
  • Flexibility to work evening shifts and weekends
