The posting

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is the premier grassroots organization focused on advocating solutions to the country’s greatest challenges. We recognize that tens of millions of Americans are frustrated with the extreme partisanship in government that keeps common-sense reforms from being passed, and instead seek to stand with policy leaders who are committed to finding a better way.

Americans for Prosperity is part of the Stand Together philanthropic community.

The Operations & Facilities Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations, facilities management, and event coordination functions of a fast-paced Government Affairs office. This position helps ensure a professional, organized, and efficient workplace by managing office logistics, coordinating vendors, supporting facility maintenance, and assisting with onsite and offsite events.

How You Will Contribute

  • Coordinate office maintenance, repairs, preventative upkeep, and facility service requests.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for building management, vendors, and service providers.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment inventory, and workplace resources to ensure operational readiness.
  • Support office moves, workspace configurations, seating assignments, and onboarding logistics.
  • Partner with IT and security teams to facilitate workspace setup, badge access, and employee support.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming office environment for employees and guests.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, scheduling, and service delivery.
  • Track operational requests and help resolve facility or workplace issues in a timely manner.
  • Support process improvements that enhance office efficiency and employee experience.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support across office operations initiatives.
  • Support the planning and execution of internal meetings, external events, briefings, and stakeholder gatherings.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue preparation, catering, audiovisual needs, room setup, materials, and vendor management.
  • Provide day-of-event support, including event setup, attendee check-in, troubleshooting, and breakdown.
  • Maintain event inventory, supplies, and materials to support successful event execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless event experience.

What You Will Bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in office operations, facilities coordination, workplace services, administrative support, event planning, or hospitality management.
  • A deep belief in people-empowering, bottom-up, public policy solutions that limit the coercive nature of government and empower individuals to pursue their American Dream.
  • A high degree of professionalism and business acumen needed to interact with senior legislative staff and policy makers, advocacy professionals, and thought leaders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn new workplace management, facilities, and event coordination systems.
  • Experience supporting office operations, facilities management, workplace services, corporate events, or administrative functions.
  • Familiarity with vendor management, office administration, and workplace operations within a professional office, nonprofit, advocacy, government affairs, or corporate environment.
  • Physical Requirements: This role regularly supports onsite meetings and events and requires the ability to lift and carry event materials and supplies up to 35 pounds, assist with room setup and breakdown, and stand or walk for extended periods during event execution. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

What We Offer

  • Competitive benefits: Enjoy a 6% 401(k) match with immediate vesting, flexible time off, comprehensive health and dental plans, plus wellness and mental health support through Peloton and Talkspace.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
