About the Company

A biotechnology company specializing in bacteriophage-based solutions to address bacterial challenges across aquaculture, animal health, and food safety.

The company develops innovative biological solutions using bacteriophage technology, microbiology, and scientific research to combat bacterial infections, antimicrobial resistance, and food contamination.

Working closely with farms, research teams, and industry partners, the company focuses on translating scientific innovation into practical, sustainable solutions that improve animal health, production efficiency, and food safety.

About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Specialist (Feed Additives & Livestock Solutions) to drive technical initiatives, develop practical solutions, and support market expansion within the animal health, feed additives, and livestock industries.

This role goes beyond traditional technical sales support. You will proactively identify customer challenges, develop technical solutions, lead field validation projects, and collaborate with R&D and commercial teams to improve product performance and market adoption.

The position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, customer understanding, and commercial awareness to turn scientific innovation into practical solutions and scalable business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Technical & Brand Representation: Act as a trusted technical partner to farmers, veterinarians, nutritionists, feed mills, integrators, distributors, and industry stakeholders. Provide technical consultation, product presentations, customer training, and industry engagement
  • Feed Additives & Livestock Expertise: Understand livestock production systems, feed practices, animal nutrition, disease challenges, and technical applications across relevant animal species and customer segments
  • Customer & User Insights: Identify customer pain points, product application challenges, unmet needs, and adoption barriers. Translate feedback into improvements in product applications, technical services, training, and market positioning
  • Technical Solution Development: Design practical solutions involving product selection, dosage strategies, preventive and corrective programs, monitoring plans, and customized technical applications
  • Technical Project Development: Proactively identify emerging market needs, new product applications, customer segments, and commercial opportunities. Initiate technical projects that support product development and market expansion
  • Field Trials & Validation: Design and execute field trials, establish evaluation protocols, monitor KPIs, and analyze results such as FCR, mortality, ADG, pathogen load, disease incidence, antibiotic usage, production performance, and ROI
  • Product Performance Monitoring: Evaluate product effectiveness across customers, production systems, and markets. Identify factors affecting product performance and recommend improvements based on field data and customer feedback
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Sales, Marketing, and laboratory teams to translate technical insights into product development, customer strategies, technical content, and commercial opportunities
  • Market & Product Strategy: Analyze differences in customer needs, production practices, disease challenges, competitors, and regulations across markets to improve product-market fit
  • Technical Market Intelligence: Monitor trends in feed additives, livestock production, animal health, pathogen management, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Medicine, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Animal Health, Feed Technology, Agriculture, Life Sciences, or related fields. Equivalent practical experience is also considered
  • Experience or strong technical knowledge in feed additives, livestock production, animal health, animal nutrition, or related industries
  • Understanding of livestock production systems, animal health challenges, feed applications, and technical product performance
  • Experience in technical sales, technical services, product development, field trials, or market development is an advantage
  • Ability to investigate customer problems, interpret technical information, and translate findings into practical solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in scientific research and data-driven decision-making
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, initiate projects, and drive technical initiatives independently
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both scientific and commercial audiences
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in understanding customer needs, product adoption, and market opportunities
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams across different markets
  • Willingness to travel for farm visits, customer meetings, field trials, and market-development activities

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
