About the Role

State Street Investment Management’s Data, Analytics and AI Services team is seeking a Senior AI Product Manager, Assistant Vice President, to help shape and deliver AI-enabled products across the investment management business. This role will serve as a critical bridge between business functions and AI engineering teams, translating business workflows, pain points, and opportunities into scalable AI product capabilities that drive measurable business impact. The successful candidate will combine deep asset management domain expertise, strong product management experience, and a practical understanding of AI capabilities, including machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI. The role will partner closely with business stakeholders, AI engineers, data scientists, and financial engineers to support the firm’s AI transformation across investment, product, client, finance, and operations functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand current workflows, identify pain points and opportunities, and reimagine ways of working through the effective integration of AI capabilities.
  • Translate business problems into AI product lines, reusable feature sets, and scalable service capabilities that improve efficiency and support enterprise-wide adoption.
  • Assess competitor, big tech, and fintech AI offerings to identify emerging capabilities, inform the product roadmap, and enhance the firm’s AI product portfolio.
  • Lead AI product implementation using Agile methodologies, manage roadmap execution and delivery milestones, and accelerate release cycles from concept through production.
  • Review and validate deliverables from AI engineering, data science, and financial engineering teams, providing detailed feedback to support rapid iteration and high-quality product outcomes.
  • Demonstrate new product capabilities, communicate release milestones and business impact, and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Coordinate day-to-day execution across onshore and offshore AI engineering, data science, and financial engineering teams to ensure effective communication, prioritization, and delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in asset management, with exposure to one or more of the following areas: portfolio management, trading, sales, client relationship management, product research, finance, or operations.
  • 7+ years of product management experience in the asset management industry, with hands-on experience designing and implementing technology products across the full product lifecycle.
  • 5+ years of AI engineering or adjacent AI-related experience, with a strong understanding of machine learning, predictive AI, generative AI, and agentic AI capabilities.
  • 3+ years of experience leading technology-enabled transformation initiatives, including program or project management in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing multi-agent workflows, including human-on-the-loop command patterns and autonomous agentic workflows.
  • Proficiency with modern AI platforms, such as Google Gemini Enterprise and AWS Bedrock, and programming languages such as Python and SQL; familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Anthropic Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience serving as an AI Product Manager within a financial institution.
  • CFA Level II completion (or equivalent certification).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
