In Vehicle and Propulsion Controls we want to empower you to bring your best. That's why we strive to create an environment where our core values of Innovation, Leadership, Passion, Cooperation, and Responsibility can thrive. With us, you'll work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with people who exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit and work together as a team to continually think bigger and bolder.
At the heart of system engineering, digital technology is playing an increasingly important role in the powertrain's development. You will join the xIL Modeling Platform and Prototyping (xMPP) team which has the mission to model a virtual propulsion system. It will be done by creating an assembly of the different control functions, respecting the architecture chosen by the project. For in-house controllers, we will generate a virtual system by integrating the different modules and their calibration. For purchased controllers, we will create simplified representative functions or integrate modules provided by suppliers. The validation of the complete system is done through virtual driving (cycle, tests, etc.). These models will be used to feed the different propulsion system teams such as validation, calibration, and development. You will be a key person, fully involved in the success of the project.
Responsibilities of the xIL Modeling Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Creation, validation, and monitoring of a Simulink MIL platform for each project release, including pre and post processing tools.
- Working with suppliers on the synthesis of requirements, interface definitions, and implementation of their models for the platform.
- Coordinate platform activities and deliverables with xMPP, validation, calibration, and physical modeling teams.
- Issue tracking and resolution.
- Analysis and integration of customer requests, advancing the evolution of the platform.
- Preparation of the models for use on SIL/HIL platforms.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Computer Science, or related field
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfortable working rapidly and independently.
- Good organization with capability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Team player with solid interpersonal skills, comfortable in working in a multi-cultural matrix organization.
- Professional communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using MathWorks (MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow) tools.
- 3 years of automotive engineering experience.
- Knowledge of ETAS INCA.
- Proficiency in propulsion system architectures.
- Knowledge of E/E Vehicle Architectures, Networking and Vector CANalyzer.
