The posting

Zaanstad MySchoolCoach is een project waar VO leerlingen met een hoog risico op schooluitval gekoppeld worden aan een goed getrainde peercoach uit het HBO onderwijs om schooluitval te voorkomen. Je coacht jongeren die een risico lopen op voortijdig schooluitval, zodat zij weer gemotiveerd raken om hun school af te maken. Samen werk je aan verandering, die op de lange termijn oplossingen biedt. Ben jij de coach die jongeren begrijpt en ze kan helpen weer vertrouwen in de toekomst te hebben? Geef je dan zeker op!

Het coachen van jongeren is maatwerk. Ze kiezen eigen doelen die ze willen behalen. Veelvoorkomende doelen zijn:

  • Overgaan
  • Hogere cijfers halen
  • Sociaal handiger worden
  • Leren het netwerk in te zetten

Taken

  • Je coacht jongeren om schooluitval te voorkomen.
  • Je werkt samen aan thema’s zoals: motivatie, plannen, cijfers, op tijd komen en doorzettingsvermogen.
  • Je ondersteunt jongeren bij hun persoonlijke groei, waarbij zelfvertrouwen, eigenwaarde en sociaal gedrag centraal staan.
  • Je zet passende coaching technieken, afgestemd op de jongere en diens situaties.
  • Je volgt de training ‘oplossingsgericht coachen’.
  • Je registreert je voortgang via een weekformulier.
  • Je neemt actief deel aan intervisiebijeenkomsten.
  • Je denkt mee over oplossingen die bijdragen aan structurele verbetering.

Over DOCK

DOCK is een kleurrijke welzijnsorganisatie en is met meer dan 800 medewerkers en zo’n 2000 vrijwilligers en stagiairs actief in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Haarlem, Zaanstad, Utrecht en Schiedam. DOCK geeft in steden bewoners, groepen en buurten kracht. De professionals kennen de wijk en weten wat er speelt. Deze kennis wordt actief gebruikt om bewoners te stimuleren om zelf de regie in handen te nemen en initiatieven te starten. Zo worden zelfstandige communities in de wijk gebouwd, waarbinnen iedereen een eigen plek verdient, onderdeel wordt van een netwerk en met elkaar een steentje wordt bijgedragen aan veilige en inclusieve wijken. Dit kan DOCK niet alleen: in buurten, steden en landelijk wordt samengewerkt met partners die van waarde zijn; van huisarts tot sportclub, van wijkagent tot woningbouwvereniging, van buurtsupermarkt tot zorgverzekeraar.
