Job Description

Ready to put your expertise to work at the hub of global liquid supply chains? At Stolthaven Terminals, you will join a specialist team responsible for the safe storage and handling of some of the world’s most important chemical and energy products at state-of-the-art terminals in key markets around the globe. Join us as a Commercial & Business Development Manager EMEA.

As the Commercial & Business Development Manager EMEA, you will drive sustainable revenue and long-term regional growth by (co-)developing and implementing commercial strategies, leading customer engagement and negotiations, and identifying, evaluating and executing strategic growth opportunities across terminals and new investments. At Stolthaven Terminals, we move today’s products for tomorrow’s possibilities. Through a worldwide network of state-of-the-art terminals with more than five million cbm of storage capacity, we look after chemicals, clean petroleum products, gases, vegetable oils, biofuels and oleochemicals on behalf of customers around the world. As a division of Stolt-Nielsen, a global leader in the logistics and distribution of bulk liquids, we sit at the center of global liquid supply chains, the vital point where products arrive from sea, are safely stored, and are prepared for the next leg of their journey. We are committed to being the most respected storage provider in the world, delivering safety, quality and sustainability in everything we do.

What you will be doing You will lead the development and implementation of the regional commercial strategy. Acting as a key account manager for regional and global customers, you will drive sustainable revenue, profitability and long-term growth. Working closely with local terminals, joint ventures, Corporate Development, Asset Management, Finance, Legal, SHEQ and Operations, you will build and maintain a strong project pipeline. This will include terminal expansions, greenfield developments, acquisitions and new business models. You will ensure that opportunities are thoroughly assessed through feasibility studies, business cases and structured negotiations. You will champion customer centricity and commercial excellence, making effective use of tools such as CRM, Margin360 and Dynamics. You will also maintain market intelligence and represent the region in global commercial and business development forums. Through these activities, you will support Stolthaven’s footprint expansion and energy transition strategy.

Key responsibilities • (co-)Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the region in alignment with global goals. • Act as key account manager for regional/global customers; identify, target and grow strategic accounts. • Lead customer negotiations for new business to maximise sustainable revenue and profitability. • Respond to customer enquiries (directly or via report), develop commercial proposals and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. • Maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement and account planning. • Promote customer centricity and drive commercial excellence tools (CRM, Margin360, Dynamics). • Coordinate with other SHVN terminals and SNL business units to provide integrated supply-chain solutions. • Support local terminals (including JVs, where applicable) in the deployment of commercial policies, market intelligence and pricing initiatives.

Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or postgraduate qualification is beneficial. • Between 10 and 15 years of experience in commercial, business development or strategic growth roles (preferably in logistics, terminals, energy, chemicals or supply chain services). • Demonstrated track record in driving revenue growth and/or developing investment projects (greenfield, brownfield, JV or M&A). • Experience working in multinational settings with senior customer contact. • Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience in structured negotiations. • Proven ability to build and manage long-term customer relationships. • Expertise in identifying growth opportunities and converting them into executable projects.

What we offer • A competitive salary and a performance-related bonus that reflect your contribution. • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning across a truly global company. • A collaborative culture built on pragmatism, shared success, and the freedom to find solutions. • The chance to work on meaningful, real-world challenges, from supply chain innovation to sustainable logistics. • Hybrid working policy (2 days from home) and flexible working hours. • Pension and health contribution. • Bike plan. Questions about the process? Contact Caterina Bertoni Gonzales at [email protected].

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
