The Role

We are looking for an Interior Designer who is passionate about creating meaningful spaces and capable of translating design concepts into well-considered, functional and beautifully detailed environments.

At Studioshen, architecture and interior design are closely integrated. You will work alongside our architectural team, contributing not only to interior spaces but also to the broader architectural design of landed residential projects.

This role offers the opportunity to develop your understanding of architectural planning, building form, spatial organisation, materials, construction and the relationship between interior and exterior spaces.

We value designers who are eager to expand their knowledge, communicate ideas confidently and take ownership of their work.

Architectural Design & Development

In addition to interior design responsibilities, you will:

  • Participate in the architectural design and development of landed residential projects.
  • Assist in developing architectural concepts, spatial layouts, building forms and façade designs.
  • Explore the relationship between architecture, interiors, landscape and the surrounding environment.
  • Learn about Singapore's residential planning regulations, building requirements and construction practices.
  • Work alongside architects to coordinate architectural and interior design considerations.
  • Develop an understanding of architectural detailing, building materials and construction methods.
  • Gradually take on greater responsibilities in architectural design as your experience and capabilities develop.

  • Understand the importance of practicality, construction quality and financial considerations.
  • Aspire to grow into well-rounded design professionals capable of contributing across multiple aspects of residential design.
