The posting
Our client is a fast-growing AI robotics company changing how industrial automation works. They offer robots-as-a-service that customers can deploy quickly at a fraction of the cost of traditional automation. Our client builds the whole stack in-house: they design and manufacture their own robots, train their own AI models, and run their own fleet at customer sites across the US.
Why Join?
- End-to-end ownership: Own a robot's electrical systems from first prototype to scaled manufacturing.
- Real-world impact: Your boards will run in robots already working for customers nationwide.
- Ground-floor growth: The hardware team has grown from 2 to 14 engineers in a year and is set to grow quickly again.
- Builder culture: Hands-on, fast-moving and judged on what you ship.
- Well-resourced: A well-equipped shop and strong access to resources.
- Competitive package: $150K – 220K base plus equity.
- Fully on-site in Watertown, MA. Visa transfers are supported, but new sponsorship is not available.

- Write firmware and support hardware- and software-in-the-loop testing
- Take designs from prototype to manufacturing at scale
- Own technical sourcing and supplier decisions
What You'll Bring
- 4 – 10 years of electrical engineering experience
- Hands-on PCB design and layout as your main engineering work
- Experience with wire harnessing and component selection for power and communication systems
- A track record of hardware you designed going into production or the field
- A BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Daily use of AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, or your own scripts and agents
- Nice-to-have: Experience in robotics, EV/automotive (CAN, automotive Ethernet, battery systems) or a fast-paced startup
