And that’s where you come in. Job Description: Key duties & responsibilities: Support the implementation of Hitachi Rail HSE policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure compliance with Egyptian legal requirements, client requirements, and company regulations. Monitor HSE performance and report any non-compliance issues. Assist in maintaining Hitachi Rail’s management systems. Conduct routine site inspections and workplace audits. Identify hazards and unsafe behaviors and recommend corrective actions. Verify proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment activities. Review work permits and ensure control measures are implemented. Assist project teams in implementing appropriate risk mitigation measures. Report, record, and investigate accidents, incidents, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near misses. Monitor the closure of HSE observations and corrective actions. Conduct HSE inductions for employees, visitors, and contractors. Support safety campaigns and awareness initiatives. Promote employee participation in HSE programs. Participate in contractor inspections and performance evaluations. Ensure contractors adhere to project-specific safety requirements. Support emergency response planning and drills. Verify availability and adequacy of emergency equipment. Support environmental inspections and sustainability initiatives. Promote environmental awareness and good housekeeping practices. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports. Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, observations, and statistics.
