This role focuses on preventing incidents, promoting a safe working culture, and minimizing environmental impact. How you’ll make an impact: Develop, implement, and monitor HSE programs and procedures for construction projects, ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, and corporate policies. Provide HSE guidance, support, and technical advice to the project team, particularly to operational personnel, promoting a strong safety culture throughout the project. Coordinate HSE activities with subcontractors, client representatives, and project management. Identify hazards and risks associated with project activities and ensure the implementation of effective preventive and corrective measures. Monitor and supervise high-risk activities, including electrical works, work at height, lifting operations, and other critical tasks. Promote the identification, sharing, and implementation of lessons learned and best practices to support continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with client HSE requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable standards. Participate in audits, inspections, and management reviews, supporting the implementation of corrective and improvement actions. Monitor HSE performance indicators and prepare regular reports for project teams. Your background: Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field. Certified Occupational Health and Safety Professional holding a Master's Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention, with accredited qualifications in all three mandatory specialities: Occupational Safety Industrial Hygiene Ergonomics and Psychosocial Risk Prevention The qualification must be officially recognized and valid for the performance of Occupational Risk Prevention functions in Spain. Additional training or qualifications in Environmental Management and Environmental Legislation will be considered an advantage. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Occupational Health & Safety (HSE) Technician on construction sites and/or electrical installation projects. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety principles, risk prevention methodologies, and applicable Spanish legislation, particularly Royal Decree 1627/1997 on construction sites and Royal Decree 614/2001 on the protection of workers against electrical risks. Demonstrated experience and sound technical knowledge in activities involving electrical hazards and high-risk electrical work. Good understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental management systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards will be considered an advantage. Fluent in Spanish and English Willingness to travel and work on project sites as required. This is a site-based role with regular presence at construction projects.
