Process Analyst, 3rd shift

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, seeks an experienced full-time Process Analyst for 3rd shift at our Cherryville, NC, location. This person will report to the Quality Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • The purpose of this document is to define the primary responsibilities, operational boundaries, and core qualifications required of the Process Analyst.
  • Accurately check production submissions to the Quality Lab.
  • Gather appropriate samples from the production floor for analysis according to the inspection plan.
  • Hands-on measurement of product and samples.
  • Metallurgical sample preparation, testing, and interpretation of results.
  • Communicate quality results to appropriate manufacturing personnel and supervisors.
  • Accurate and legible record/input of results.
  • Hand-off communication of Quality Lab issues to team members on other shifts.
  • Data entry of inspection and test results, as needed.
  • Prioritize work based on departmental guidelines.
  • Work compatibly with associated groups.
  • Incoming inspection and testing, as needed
  • Comply with company health and safety guidelines.
  • Other tasks, as required.

Qualifications

  • Read and interpret blueprints for setup
  • Possess excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Possess excellent math skills.
  • Possess productivity computer skills.
  • Must have hands-on experience with gauging and measuring devices.
  • (Examples include: micrometers, calipers, surface finish gauge, CMM, hardness tester, contamination test, metallurgical sample prep).
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Understand and apply SPC, interpret graphs for trends.
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Evaluate metallurgical microstructures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safe laboratory practices.

Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
