The posting

Sr. Product Marketing Manager

Location: Berlin Contract: 12 month, fixed term, full time, based in our Warsaw office

Team description

The Product Growth team within Run My Business turns product innovation into measurable merchant growth by connecting product strategy, positioning and go-to-market execution across SumUp's portfolio.

Booking has recently launched as a premium offering, with the beauty industry emerging as a key strategic priority. We're looking for someone who can help shape how we take this product to market: defining its positioning, building compelling product narratives and translating merchant needs and market insights into a clear go-to-market strategy.

With both merchant- and consumer-facing touchpoints, this role will play a key part in establishing SumUp's position in the appointment management industry. You'll work closely with Product, Go-to-market and Growth teams to define the value proposition, build launch readiness and drive early merchant adoption across markets.

What you'll do

  • Define product positioning and messaging: Own the positioning, value proposition and messaging framework for Booking, with a particular focus on the Beauty industry and the Local marketplace. Translate product capabilities and merchant needs into compelling narratives across marketing and in-product touchpoints.
  • Shape go-to-market strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market plans for Booking and Local launches, from early positioning and audience definition through launch readiness, activation and adoption.
  • Lead launch readiness: Coordinate cross-functional launch preparation, including sales and support enablement, web updates, FAQs, pricing and messaging to ensure teams are ready to bring new features to market.
  • Enable customer-facing teams: Equip frontline Sales and Operations teams with the knowledge, messaging and materials they need to confidently communicate product value and support merchants.
  • Bring market insights into product strategy: Gather and synthesise merchant, Sales and Support feedback, competitive intelligence and market trends to inform positioning and influence product roadmap discussions.
  • Drive adoption through insight: Track feature activation, adoption and conversion after launch, using performance data and market feedback to refine positioning, messaging and go-to-market strategy across markets.

What we’re looking for…

  • Fluency in English, written and spoken, with the confidence to work across global and local teams.
  • Strong product marketing foundations: Proven experience developing product positioning, value propositions, messaging frameworks and go-to-market strategies, ideally in SaaS, payments or marketplace businesses.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset: Ability to understand customer needs, market dynamics and competitive positioning, translating insights into clear product narratives and commercial opportunities.
  • Early-stage go-to-market experience: Experience shaping how products or features are brought to market, particularly where positioning, audience definition and messaging are still being established.
  • Customer and product insight: Experience translating merchant, customer, Sales or Support feedback into actionable insights that influence product positioning and roadmap decisions.
  • Cross-functional influence: Ability to align and influence Product, Sales, Growth and Operations teams without formal reporting lines.
  • Data-informed decision-making: Comfortable analysing adoption, activation and conversion data to understand performance and refine go-to-market strategies across different markets.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
