Lease Portfolio Specialist - BMW of Chula Vista Non-ExemptJob Summary:The Lease Portfolio Specialist supports the Lease Portfolio Salesperson and Sales Management team by executing lease and finance portfolio retention strategies, customer outreach, and appointment coordination. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned portfolio customers, with the objective of increasing retention, upgrade opportunities, and vehicle replacements. Working closely with the Lease Portfolio Salesperson, Sales Management, and Sales team, this role ensures consistent follow-up, proper timing of customer engagement, and effective coordination of opportunities generated through portfolio activity and service drive engagement. Essential Functions:
Execute lease and finance portfolio outreach strategies as directed by Sales Management. Manage assigned portfolio customers from initial contact through appointment coordination and follow-up. Engage customers at various stages of the ownership cycle, including lease maturity, early upgrade, and retention opportunities. Coordinate appointments and handoffs between customers, Sales Consultants, and Sales Management. Support service drive initiatives by working alongside Sales Consultants who are actively engaging service drive customers. Assist in identifying and nurturing upgrade and replacement opportunities originating from the service drive. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, activity, and outcomes within the CRM system. Ensure timely follow-up and consistent communication with portfolio customers. Collaborate with Sales Management to prioritize opportunities and align outreach efforts with store objectives.
When appropriate, and at the direction of Sales Management, manage select portfolio opportunities through the full sales process, from initial engagement through delivery. Work in conjunction with Sales Consultants on assigned opportunities to ensure a consistent and professional customer experience. Support the sales team by preparing customers for appointments and facilitating smooth transitions through the sales process.
Provide a high level of professionalism and product knowledge when engaging portfolio customers. Ensure customers receive clear, accurate information regarding lease options, finance alternatives, and upgrade pathways. Maintain a customer-first approach that aligns with brand standards and dealership expectations.
Maintain organized and up-to-date portfolio records. Track customer engagement activity, appointments, and outcomes. Provide regular updates to Sales Management on portfolio activity and opportunity status. Support management reporting requirements related to retention and portfolio performance.
Adhere to dealership policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales activities. Maintain satisfactory attendance. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Performance Expectations
Success in this role is measured by effective portfolio engagement, appointment creation, retention outcomes, and overall contribution to dealership sales objectives.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum one (1) year of customer service, sales, or retail experience. Valid state sales license. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; required to have California driver's license within 30 days following date of hire. At least one year of verifiable driving experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple customer relationships simultaneously. High level of organization and follow-through. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds. Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior automotive sales, leasing, or customer retention experience. Strong understanding of automotive products, sales processes, and financing options. Proficient in using CRM systems, dealership software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and manage time effectively. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and goal.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, sits; uses hands; frequently reaches with hands and arms; frequently talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, squats or crawls; occasionally lifts up to 15 pounds. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout retail space.
Environment/Noise:
Work in both indoor and outdoor settings. May involve exposure to varying weather conditions. Climate controlled. Noise level is moderate.
