Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Bindery Assistant to support production in a fast-paced printing and manufacturing environment. This role involves operating bindery equipment, maintaining workflow, and ensuring quality standards are met across production and fulfillment processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work orders/job tickets for setup and production instructions
  • Operate and maintain bindery equipment, including: Cutter machines (Polar, Seybold) MBO Folder machines Shrink-wrap equipment Inserter machines
  • Perform machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting
  • Follow startup, cleaning, and shutdown procedures
  • Maintain workflow to meet production deadlines
  • Track and report daily production and material usage
  • Communicate equipment or order issues to leadership
  • Support related departments including personalization, fulfillment, and shipping
  • Follow all quality control (QC) and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3–5 years of bindery or print production experience required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (testing may be required)
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management
  • Ability to pass a color vision test
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
