Warehouse Operations Clerk – 2nd Shift

Pay: $20.25 per hour Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM

Job Summary

We are hiring a Warehouse Operations Clerk to support daily shipping and warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This position is responsible for preparing shipping documentation, communicating with carriers and warehouse personnel, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring outbound shipments are processed correctly and on time.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with computers and warehouse systems, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and outbound shipment documentation.
  • Communicate daily with outbound carriers regarding shipment schedules and equipment needs.
  • Receive drivers and provide direction for outbound shipments.
  • Use a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to open and close shipments.
  • Prepare accurate Bills of Lading and ensure drivers leave with the appropriate paperwork.
  • Verify shipping documents for accuracy and compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Enter and maintain shipping data and records in the warehouse management system.
  • Research and assist with resolving shipping or inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor trailer capacity and coordinate with yard spotters regarding trailer movements.
  • Maintain accurate load boards and trailer seal logs.
  • Communicate work assignments, appointments, loading doors, picking requirements, and other operational information.
  • File outbound paperwork and maintain organized records.
  • Assist with warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and loading as needed.
  • Assist leadership with administrative tasks and other operational duties.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred; Manhattan WMS experience is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office experience, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to accurately enter, verify, sort, count, and maintain records.
  • Good computer and data-entry skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Material handling equipment (MHE) experience is a plus, or willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for 10–12 hours as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move totes weighing approximately 50–100 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching below the waist and above the head.
  • Ability to walk frequently throughout a large warehouse facility.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperatures.
  • Must be able to access all areas of the facility without limitations.
  • Must be available to work weekends and extended hours, including holidays, when required.
