About the job

Every size of every garment has to fit. You’re the one who makes sure it does.

At Suspicious Antwerp, an approved collection sample is only the start. Between that sample and bulk production, measurements, grading, construction and accessories can all drift. You are the technical link between the collection sample and production, making sure every size of every garment fits and meets our standards.

You work for both menswear and womenswear, in the back office, between the Product Developers, Designers and Production. You check, measure and grade, catch what’s off before it ships, and solve construction issues with the factory.

What you’ll be doing

  • Give technical support to Unisex and Womenswear: fitting files and fit issue support
  • Check and measure all inbound collection samples (assigned styles, restocks)
  • Measure and check PS, PPS and promo samples before bulk shipment, to evaluate if production will be as requested
  • Monitor, draft and adjust the full size specs of each garment
  • Support Product Developers on complex fit issues
  • Monitor quality issues together with the Product Manager: customer complaints and bulk deviations
  • Follow up on troubleshooting in terms of fit, quality and future improvements
  • Own the final grading and size specs
  • Own the final bulk check before shipment, and flag issues where necessary
  • Make sure bulk sizing (full size spec) and quality meet our initial requests and brand standards
  • Find solutions to construction issues in production
  • Approve bulk accessories on garments (zippers, buttons, yarns, etc.)

What you bring

  • Training or experience as a modelist, pattern maker or garment technologist
  • Profound fit and garment knowledge
  • Profound grading and pattern knowledge
  • Precise measuring to spec and tolerance
  • Solid understanding of how the industry and factories work
  • Strength in fit, grading and measuring across Women and Unisex garments
  • A strong fashion and product feeling that fits spot-on with us: you feel and understand our brand identity and our market, and you know our community and competitors
  • Organised and detail-focused
  • Affinity with back-office work
  • Calm, structured problem solving
  • Clear, factual communication with PD and suppliers

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
