The posting

Sutton CE VC Primary School is looking for an Office Assistant to work during the hours of 8.30am - 1.00pm on Mondays and 8.30am - 3.30pm on Wednesday, term time only, with the opportunity to provide cover within the school office admin team if and when required. To start as soon as possible.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy school office team and to assist in raising standards in a school at the heart of it's village community. Our vision and values are important to us, as we strive to be the best we can be. We’d love to hear from you if you:

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing outstanding clerical support to the whole school
  • Ensuring daily registers are completely accurately and in a timely manner
  • Dealing with queries via email and telephone
  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Producing, distributing and filing documents

This position is term time only, with 1 inset day per year.

Sutton Primary School is situated in the village of Sutton, Cambridgeshire and is 7 miles from the Cathedral City of Ely. The school is undergoing rapid improvements and the opportunity to develop Physical Education and sporting opportunities are very much central to the school’s evolving curriculum in drive for excellence.

We have enthusiastic children, supportive parents and committed governors, as well as positive engagement with other local schools and the wider community. You will be part of a friendly, helpful, hardworking team where “Respect” is the foundation stone of our school vision and values.
