Job Description:

Help Southwest Airlines maximize the impact of our community investments while keeping the systems and processes behind them running smoothly. As a Community Engagement Ops Consultant, you'll serve as the operational backbone of our Community Engagement & Partnerships Team, supporting charitable giving programs, grant and sponsorship administration, reporting, budget processes, and the Southwest Gives Salesforce platform. In this role, you'll partner with Teams across the Company to maintain data integrity, deliver meaningful insights, improve processes, and ensure community initiatives are executed effectively and responsibly. Your work will help connect Southwest's resources with the organizations and causes that make a difference, enabling us to strengthen communities while advancing our mission of connecting People to what's important in their lives.

Due to the nature of this role, you would be required to work from our Dallas, TX Headquarters facility during business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer grant and sponsorship programs, including payment fulfillment, tracking, recordkeeping, and process oversight.
  • Provide operational and financial support through request intake and routing, budget reconciliation, and maintenance of contracts, agreements, and departmental records
  • Administer charitable Flight E-pass award processes and recordkeeping
  • Administer and maintain the Southwest Gives Salesforce platform, including user access, permissions, issue resolution, system enhancements, testing, deployment support, and ongoing end-user support and training
  • Manage system and vendor documentation by maintaining user guides and training materials, coordinating vendor contract renewals, and ensuring accurate records for platform administration and compliance
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting, dashboards, and scorecards to support Community Engagement & Partnerships, leadership decision-making, compliance requirements, and charitable giving initiatives
  • Ensure reporting accuracy and effectiveness by validating data, resolving discrepancies, maintaining reporting templates and schedules, and supporting the preparation of annual giving reports
  • Maintain the integrity of Southwest Gives data through routine data cleanup, audits, quality monitoring, and the application of standardized data management procedures and documentation
  • Support data operations by managing data migrations, uploads, and imports, while ensuring records, documentation, and system information remain accurate, complete, and up to date
  • Support operational effectiveness by maintaining standard operating procedures, monitoring departmental workflows and requests, identifying process improvement opportunities, and contributing to special projects and initiatives
  • Coordinate with FP&A, Legal, Supply Chain, and Technology teams to support operational activities
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer services including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer satisfaction
  • Skilled in understanding the implications of latest information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Skilled in Excel and data management
  • Skilled in organizational techniques and project coordination
  • Skilled in attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to listen to, understand, and communicate ideas presented in writing and/or in speaking with others

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:Business operations, systems administration, reporting, program administration, or related fieldsWorking with databases, reporting tools, or business systems

  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Other Qualifications

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive market salary from $89,450 per year to $99,400.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
