Tax Manager

Location: Near Penn Station, NYC

We are a well-established CPA firm located near Penn Station in the heart of New York City, is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team of professionals.

Position Overview:

As a Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the firm's tax services. With a focus on providing excellent client service, you will work collaboratively with a team of tax professionals to address the diverse needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Service: Manage and lead tax engagements for a diverse client base, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations. Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships by providing expert tax advice and addressing client inquiries.
  2. Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment. Provide guidance on tax planning, research, and client communication.
  3. Technical Expertise: Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide accurate and up-to-date advice. Oversee the preparation of complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities.
  4. Client Advisory: Offer strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, including insights into changes in tax laws that may impact their financial strategies.
  5. Business Development: Identify and pursue new client opportunities, contributing to the growth and success of the firm. Collaborate with partners and senior management on business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification required.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in tax management within a CPA firm.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with tax planning, research, and client advisory services.
