In diesem 12-monatigen, praxisorientierten Studierendenprogramm entwickelst und betreibst du Software für die optischen Transport- und Zeitsynchronisationsnetze von Swisscom. Dein Heimteam ONIS (Optical Network, IT and Synchronisation) vereint Netzwerktechnologien, betreibt die dazugehörigen IT-Systeme und entwickelt Automatisierungslösungen für Labor- und Produktionsumgebungen. Neben der Mitarbeit im Tagesgeschäft wirkst du an einem praxisnahen Data & AI Innovationsprojekt mit erfahrenen Engineers mit. Dabei entwickelst du deine Software- und Betriebskenntnisse weiter, baust ein Netzwerk innerhalb von NET auf und nimmst an programmübergreifenden Aktivitäten sowie an einem internationalen Besuch teil. Das Programm startet am 1. Februar 2027 und besteht zu 60 % aus der Mitarbeit im Team sowie zu 40 % aus Innovationsarbeit.

  • Du entwickelst gemeinsam mit den ONIS Engineers sowie den Anwender:innen unserer Netzwerk-Tools Python-Automatisierungen und API-Integrationen.
  • Du nutzt zugelassene AI-Engineering-Tools wie GitHub Copilot oder Kiro während des gesamten Entwicklungsprozesses, von Design und Implementierung über Testing und Dokumentation bis hin zur Fehleranalyse.
  • Du lieferst kleinere, reviewte Änderungen über GitLab CI/CD und GitOps und wendest dabei die Sicherheits-, Identitäts- und Datenmanagement-Standards von Swisscom an.
  • Du betreibst gemeinsam mit einem Mentor ein Pilotprojekt, ergänzt sinnvolles Monitoring und sammelst Erfahrungen in Incident-Diagnose, Rollback- und Recovery-Prozessen in einer sicheren Umgebung.
  • Du teilst evaluierte AI-Praktiken mit deinem Team, entwickelst wiederverwendbare Tests und sorgst für eine nachhaltige Wissensübergabe.

Deine Skills

  • Bachelor- oder Masterstudium (Uni/FH) in Informatik, Data Science, Engineering oder verwandten Fachrichtungen (Abschluss nicht länger als ein Jahr her)
  • Erste Kenntnisse in den Bereichen AI, Cloud-Technologien oder datenorientiertes Engineering sowie gute Programmier- bzw. Scripting-Grundlagen, idealerweise in Python.
  • Grundlegendes Verständnis von Netzwerkkonzepten, Erfahrung mit Git sowie Kenntnisse von APIs und strukturierten Datenformaten wie REST und JSON.
  • Interesse an AI-gestützter Softwareentwicklung. Erste Erfahrungen mit Copilot, Kiro oder ähnlichen Tools sind von Vorteil. MCP, ArgoCD/GitOps sowie betriebliche Best Practices lernst du gemeinsam mit dem Team und werden nicht als Expertenwissen vorausgesetzt.
  • Grundlegendes Verständnis von MCP-Servern sowie Best Practices im Umgang mit AI-Tools für Engineers und Entwickler:innen.
  • Begeisterung für neue Technologien und agile Arbeitsweisen, selbstständige und strukturierte Arbeitsweise, proaktive Teamorientierung, analytisches Denken und Interesse am geschäftlichen Kontext.
  • Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse, Französisch ist von Vorteil.
