Job Description

At Technip Energies, we are more than just a leading engineering and technology company — we are pioneers committed to shaping a sustainable future. With thousands of talented professionals worldwide, we deliver innovative solutions to real-world energy challenges while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Join us on a one-of-a-kind journey where you can take pride in being part of the solution for the benefit of our planet, people, and communities.

Position Summary

The Vendor Performance Management (VPM) Coordinator II supports timely, specification-compliant delivery of project equipment and materials by coordinating supplier purchase-order execution, expediting, inspection, and quality follow-up. Embedded within project procurement teams, the position uses established VPM processes and systems to track fabrication progress, identify delivery and quality risks, and communicate corrective actions.

This Coordinator II role is adapted from the supplied Coordinator III description, with emphasis on assigned purchase orders and execution under guidance from project VPM leadership rather than ownership of the highest-criticality packages or department-wide training and process leadership. The precise level-II package criticality and approval authority should be confirmed with VPM management.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

  • Monitor execution of assigned purchase orders, supplier schedules, fabrication milestones, and expected delivery dates.
  • Review supplier progress information, identify discrepancies and delays, and provide timely status updates to project VPM and procurement leadership.
  • Maintain accurate purchase-order and material status in Hexagon Smart Materials or the applicable project tracking system.
  • Coordinate supplier and third-party inspection visits in line with inspection and test plans (ITPs), approved drawings, purchase orders, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate assigned regional or international third-party inspection and expediting activities; track utilization and hours against approved allocations.
  • Compile and review pre-inspection, pre-fabrication, expediting, inspection and release reports; distribute monthly or periodic progress updates.
  • Support shop visits and supplier follow-up when directed; escalate schedule or fabrication issues for timely resolution.
  • Identify risks associated with supplier documents, engineering returns, sub-suppliers, materials and fabrication progress; support recovery plans.

Leadership / Management Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Engineering, Buyers, Project VPM, Logistics, Materials Management, Quality and supplier contacts to resolve assigned order issues.
  • Communicate identified supplier performance concerns, proposed mitigations, and scope deviations to the Project VPM Manager or designated lead.
  • Support supplier and third-party agency performance evaluations covering delivery, quality, nonconformities and applicable ESG measures.
  • Share lessons learned and support onboarding or knowledge transfer to team members as requested.

Compliance / Operational Responsibilities

  • Follow Technip Energies HSES procedures, project-specific VPM plans, PPE requirements and stop-work authority during supplier and shop visits.
  • Verify inspection activities align with the approved ITP, purchase order requirements and current technical documentation.
  • Record and escalate supplier quality issues and nonconformities through approved systems such as Intelex and coordinate follow-up with QA/QC stakeholders.
  • Maintain complete, accurate records in approved document and material management systems and comply with project reporting deadlines.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multicultural, cross-functional project teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and virtual meeting platforms; strong written and verbal English communication.
  • Ability to work flexible hours when coordination with international suppliers or offices is required.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as project needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business administration or related discipline.
  • Experience coordinating suppliers, subcontractors, inspection or expediting activities; the source Coordinator III JD lists 2–4 years as preferred, but a Coordinator II-specific experience threshold requires confirmation.
  • Familiarity with EPC procurement, fabrication lifecycles, schedule and milestone tracking.
  • PMP or CAPM certification; international travel availability; additional language skills.

Role Specific Knowledge & Skills

  • Purchase-order execution, supplier expediting, fabrication schedules and milestone reporting.
  • Inspection and test plans, third-party inspection coordination and inspection release documentation.
  • Material tracking tools including Hexagon Smart Materials and document management platforms.
  • Quality issue tracking and escalation, including Intelex or comparable systems.
  • Schedule risk identification, mitigation follow-up and accurate project reporting.
  • Clear communication, organization, analytical problem-solving and stakeholder coordination.

Additional Information

  • Work location: Houston, Texas (to be confirmed); regional travel and flexible hours may be required.
  • Level II-specific purchase-order criticality, reporting scope and experience requirements must be validated by the hiring manager; the source document describes Coordinator III.
  • U.S. citizenship and employment sponsorship requirements are not specified in the source JD and require HR confirmation before posting.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
