Position Summary

The Cebu Manager, IT & Security is responsible for leading the Cebu-based IT, Security, Help Desk, NOC, and related technical teams. This role serves as the local people leader while partnering closely with U.S.-based technology leadership to ensure reliable IT operations, strong cybersecurity practices, and effective delivery of technology services.

The ideal candidate combines technical leadership, operational excellence, and people management skills to support business growth, maintain a secure technology environment, and develop high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop Cebu-based IT and Security team members.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and employee development.
  • Promote collaboration across IT, Security, Development, QA, DevOps, and business teams.
  • Manage attendance, scheduling, PTO approvals, and employee engagement initiatives.

IT Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day technology operations, including end-user support, systems administration, network services, and infrastructure management.
  • Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems and business applications.
  • Monitor service delivery metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

  • Support and enforce enterprise cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Coordinate vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response activities.
  • Assist with risk assessments and remediation efforts.
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness and security best practices throughout the organization.
  • Ensure protection of company systems, networks, and data assets.

Compliance & Governance

  • Maintain IT and security procedures, documentation, and operational processes.
  • Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and security assessments.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning activities.

Strategic Execution

  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders on project planning and execution.
  • Provide recommendations regarding technology improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Help evaluate and implement new technologies that improve security, productivity, and employee experience.
  • Drive alignment between Cebu operations and company-wide technology objectives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of IT leadership or management experience.
  • Experience leading technical teams in a multi-functional environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, systems administration, and end-user support.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and security controls.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing projects and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred

  • Experience managing distributed or global technology teams.
  • Cybersecurity certifications (Security+, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent).
  • IT certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience supporting SaaS-based environments and cloud infrastructure.

Success Measures

  • High service desk satisfaction and SLA performance.
  • Strong security posture and timely remediation of identified risks.
  • Reliable operation of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Employee retention, engagement, and development within the Cebu team.
  • Successful delivery of technology and security initiatives aligned with business goals.
