About us

At Tana, we believe that your skills and your character define you, not where in the world you were born. We empower brilliant young people in Africa to start meaningful careers by training them for tech and data roles, and embedding them into full-time, remote positions with companies across North America and Europe. We're a rapidly growing start-up headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, with a vision to change the world of work.

Position Overview

We are hiring a Mid-level Automation QA Engineer to join the technology team of a global application security company. The company helps organisations identify and address security vulnerabilities, protecting thousands of applications worldwide.

In this role, you will perform end-to-end test automation using Playwright, validate key product features, and conduct unit testing. You will collaborate with teams across the business to help build reliable products that keep applications safe. This opportunity is suited for someone who takes ownership of their work, brings ideas for improvement, and is motivated to keep learning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain end-to-end automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript.
  • Validate key product features to ensure they work as intended.
  • Conduct unit testing to verify the behaviour of individual software components.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and other teams to support product quality.
  • Take ownership of assigned testing work and proactively suggest improvements to QA processes and automation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Professional work experience as a QA Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation using Playwright.
  • Experience writing automated tests in TypeScript (preferred) or JavaScript.
  • A proactive approach, with the initiative to identify improvements and bring new ideas to the team.
  • A self-driven working style and ownership of your responsibilities.
  • A learning mindset, with a willingness to develop your skills and explore new approaches to quality assurance.
  • Experience using AI in QA or test automation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
