This is a truly exciting opportunity to join our ACE Tiverton family by becoming a part of our Site Services Team. If you are a highly motivated team player, then we would be delighted to hear from you.

At ACE Tiverton, a member of Reach South Multi-Academy Trust, we believe exceptional schools are built by exceptional people. We are a team of talented, compassionate and dedicated professionals who share our commitment to ensuring that every young person can thrive, succeed and develop the confidence, skills and independence needed for lifelong success.

ACE Tiverton is a thriving special school for students aged 11 to 16. Since opening in September 2019 with just 35 students, we have grown to serve more than 120 young people from across Devon. As part of Reach South Academy Trust, we support students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), primarily relating to Communication and Interaction needs, alongside sensory, medical, emotional and mental health needs. Our students are extraordinary young people with unique strengths, interests and aspirations. We are ambitious for every one of them, believing that with the right support, meaningful relationships and high expectations they can flourish both academically and personally.

At the heart of our school is a culture of belonging. We are proud to be a school family where every individual is known, valued and respected. Relationships are the foundation of everything we do. Our students thrive because they are surrounded by adults who genuinely care, take time to understand their stories and are committed to helping them achieve their potential. Guided by a philosophy of unconditional positive regard, we recognise that every day offers a fresh opportunity to learn, grow and succeed. Working at ACE Tiverton is both rewarding and inspiring - no two days are the same. Our students will challenge you to think creatively, reflect deeply and continually develop your practice. In return, they will reward you with their honesty, humour, resilience and achievements. The impact you make here will be felt long after a student leaves our school.

We are fortunate to have a talented, supportive and dedicated team who work together to create a nurturing, inclusive and aspirational environment. Together, we strive to ensure every student leaves us as a confident young adult, well prepared for further education, employment and adulthood so they are well prepared for Learning for Lifelong Success.

As a facilities Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our school facilities are safe, functional, and conducive to learning. You will carry out a range of duties associated with the provision of cleaning, food services and facilities maintenance in the school.

If, after reading the pack, you are interested in being part of our fantastic team, please contact us to arrange a tour of our school building - visits are warmly encouraged. Thank you for your interest and good luck with your application!

We operate 15 academies in Plymouth, Bournemouth, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. We are building this Trust on a clear set of values, behaviours and curriculum principles. At the heart of those values and principles is a belief in our young people and a determination to support them to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to become the successful citizens for today and all of their tomorrows.

Our core business is delivering exceptional education for children and young people with a mission to help all pupils aspire to achieve beyond the expectations that others put on them. We do this through the development of a talented and committed workforce. In order to deliver exceptional opportunities for learning, we need highly motivated staff across all parts of the organisation.

Teachers within Reach South belong to a national community of professionals, and benefit from a wide range of networks and development opportunities across the Trust. In time, our best teachers are able to work across schools, develop specialisms and step up to leadership roles within and beyond their own academy. The Trust provides a strong culture of collaboration and support, together with high expectations for staff and pupils alike.

Those we recruit are able to demonstrate that they share our values, are highly motivated to work with colleagues, within and beyond their school, to continuously develop their skills and pursue professional excellence.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
