The posting

Marshland High School are looking to appoint an Administrator (SEN and Careers) to join their team. Providing administration support to specialist areas within Marshland High School including Special Education Needs (SEN) Team and Careers support under the direction of the Assistant Trust SENCo and Assistant Head Teacher with careers responsibility.

Start Date: Oct 2026

Hours: 37hrs per week. 39 weeks per year (term time +3 weeks)

Salary: Scale D, Pt 6-7, £13.47 - £13.68/hour (FTE £25,989 - £26,403 per year, based on a 37hr week) Please note this salary will be paid pro rata

Purpose of the Job

To provide high quality, proactive and accurate administration support to specialist areas within Marshland High School including Special Education Needs (SEN) Team and Careers support under the direction of the Assistant Trust SENCo and Assistant Head Teacher with careers responsibility.

In addition, you will supply administrative support across the school as/when required to support events and activities including cover for reception.

The post holder will need to possess a great deal of professionalism alongside excellent communication and administrative skills. This role will include handling material of a sensitive nature and the post holder will be required to maintain complete confidentiality and integrity at all times.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

· To manage the process for student careers support and work experience, as led by Assistant Head Teacher, in relation to communication to families, organising events, liaising with employers and supplying data and reports.

· To co-ordinate administration requirements to support SEN students within school in liaison with Senior Assistant Trust SENDCo.

· To support the EHCP review process for SEND students liaising with colleagues, parents and professionals to ensure paperwork and meetings are planned effectively.

· As part of the wider team, assist with general administrative duties, cover for reception, printing, planning and delivering key events/programmes including vaccinations, interviews, photography, open days, student transition events.

· Attend meetings and take minutes when required.

· Ensure accuracy of all records.
