The posting

At Holne Chase Primary School, we are excited to be recruiting for the brand‑new role of Assistant Principal for Inclusion, commencing in January 2027, including the opportunity to open and lead our new SEND provision.

Holne Chase Primary School is part of the Preston Hedges Trust, a growing, high‑performing Trust based in Milton Keynes and Northampton. We sit at the heart of the Bletchley community, nurturing children and families to become the best global citizens they can be. Guided by our ‘Changemaker’ philosophy, pupils are inspired to pursue their dreams through a curriculum rooted in Fun, Creativity and Achievement. We ignite passions, build aspiration and foster a lifelong thirst for learning, empowering our children to become confident, global changemakers.

As an Assistant Principal for Inclusion you will provide strategic leadership to embed an inclusive culture across the school and specialised provision, ensuring that every child can achieve their full potential. This role will initially be without class responsibility and you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and work alongside the other API across our Trust.

The role will oversee provision for pupils with special educational needs (SEND) and other vulnerable learners, ensuring that all pupils are able to make excellent progress and achieve the best possible outcomes.

We are seeking a leader who is passionate about inclusion and who truly believes that every child thrives when they experience a deep sense of belonging, supported by a shared philosophy of fun, creativity and achievement.

As the Assistant Principal for Inclusion, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be part of a Trust-wide group of Assistant Principals for Inclusion, enabling you to share best practice, seek support and collaborate within a vibrant and supportive professional network.
  • Serve as a key member of the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to whole‑school strategic decision‑making.
  • Work closely with the Principal to deliver and evaluate the school’s Inclusion Strategy, shaping inclusive practice at both school and trust level, rather than within a single setting alone.
  • Engage in high‑quality, continuous professional development within a Trust that is committed to nurturing talent and supporting succession planning for future leadership roles.
  • Benefit from a bespoke onboarding programme, both prior to starting the role and throughout your induction period, ensuring a supported and successful transition.
  • Access a comprehensive wellbeing package, including (but not limited to) free GP consultations for you and your family, physiotherapy and counselling services, as well as leadership coaching.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Successful experience as a leader in education, with a track record of delivering school improvement priorities.

A leader who is passionate about Inclusion

A clear understanding of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.

A commitment to our Trust values of Ambition, Drive, Excellence & One Team

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE ROLE

We would love the chance to welcome you to our school and talk to you about the role, the Trust and the opportunity and are offering a Recruitment Information Evening (via Teams) on Tuesday 29th September @ 6:30pm. To book a visit to the school or to request attendance to the Teams Recruitment Evening please email: Hill Turnbull (Office Manager) [email protected] or call on 01908 373640

What we can offer:

  • A comprehensive induction programme at both Trust and school levels
  • An opportunity to learn from others at schools rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted
  • A broad range of continuous professional development at both Trust and school levels, including access to the National College online training platform
  • Opportunities to progress your career through increased responsibilities or specialism, enabling you to make a difference to children beyond your immediate class, year group or school
  • An environment that places wellbeing at the heart of everything we do, with staff having access to a comprehensive wellbeing package including the Schools Advisory Service, which offers counselling, GP helpline, mindfulness, nurse support, physiotherapy and more.
  • Access to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme
  • Preston Hedges Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children. All appointments are subject to successful Disclosure and Barring clearance and any other necessary safeguarding checks, satisfactory references and medical clearance. Please be advised that as per KCSIE 2026 all shortlisted candidates will be subject to online checks. Our Trust Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy can be viewed using the following link: Safeguarding-Child-Protection-Policy-2026.pdf Please also be advised we will take up references prior to interview and that one referee must be your last employer. We are committed to providing equality and fairness in our recruitment and employment practices and not to discriminate on any grounds. We oppose all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
