The posting

This is a part-time role of 32.50 hours per week at our Explorer Base (Wallington), Brabazon Avenue SM6 9ET

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)? Do you thrive in a supportive and dynamic educational environment? If so, we invite you to become a part of our dedicated team at our Explorer ASD Base at Wallington!

Avenue Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an excellent class teacher in our ASD Opportunity Base provisions at Avenue. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an established team and to bring high standards of teaching and learning to our School.

Our ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing our children’s learning, have a good understanding of autism, be flexible and enjoy working as part of a pro-active and dedicated team.

Avenue is an outstanding, friendly and supportive primary school with ASD Bases at Avenue Primary in Belmont and on Brabazon Avenue in Wallington. Our core purpose is to develop the very best education environment to ensure that children do exceptionally well and are prepared for the future, based on the principle of equality and opportunities for all.

Avenue Primary Academy is part of Cirrus Primary Academy Trust and is recognised as a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion. “The school takes a holistic approach to education that empowers staff to provide a varied and balanced educational diet to children based on their individual needs. Further to this, therapeutic activities are woven into lessons and playtimes in addition to the statutory provision outlined in any EHCPs.” IQM report June 2023.

All schools within the Trust share a relentless focus on personalised planning and having the highest aspirations for what children can achieve. This core value of being child-centred is an intrinsic part of every school’s DNA, and is the minimum standard expected of all employees of the Trust.

We are proud to offer staff and pupil charters which demonstrate our commitment to protect, promote and enhance the opportunities available to everyone who is part of Cirrus. Our commitment to professional development is ongoing and we offer a wide range of courses and learning opportunities as well as opportunities to network with experienced practitioners from across the Trust.

We strive to empower our pupils to be the best they can be by providing education that enables them to flourish and take pride in their achievements. Our class teachers are enthusiastic, highly skilled and motivated to create unique learning experiences for our pupils. We would love to hear from like minded individuals.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
