F2 Class teacher

Required from November 2026

Full time - Maternity Cover up to 12 months

Main Scale Points 1-6

Burford Primary & Nursery School is looking for an excellent and enthusiastic F2 teacher to join our team to cover maternity leave.

We are looking for someone who is child-centred, passionate about Early Years and committed to making a real difference. You will have high expectations of yourself and every child, while creating a classroom where children feel happy, safe, valued and excited to learn.

Burford is a one-form entry primary and nursery school on the border of Nottingham City in Arnold. Around 50% of our children are eligible for Pupil Premium. We are a warm, ambitious and hardworking team who keep children at the heart of everything we do.

We have worked hard to create a school full of opportunity, belonging and joy, alongside high expectations for learning and behaviour. We are looking for a teacher who will embrace this and bring energy, creativity and ambition to our F2 classroom.

You will:

  1. Be a strong and reflective classroom practitioner with a good understanding of the EYFS
  2. Be passionate about Early Years and understand the importance of giving children the best possible start to school
  3. Have high expectations for learning, behaviour and achievement
  4. Create an engaging, purposeful and language-rich learning environment
  5. Care deeply about children and their development while maintaining a clear focus on progress
  6. Work well as part of a team and be willing to contribute ideas, enthusiasm and expertise
  7. Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  8. Bring warmth, energy and a sense of fun to school life

In return, we offer:

  1. Wonderful children who deserve the very best
  2. A warm, supportive and hardworking staff team
  3. A well-resourced and continually developing Early Years environment
  4. A school with a clear approach to teaching and learning and high expectations for all
  5. Strong support from school leaders and colleagues
  6. Excellent professional development through Burford and Transform Trust
  7. Opportunities to work with colleagues across a successful Multi Academy Trust
  8. A school that values belonging, exploration and care, where we work hard and play hard

This post is a fixed-term maternity cover position based in F2 (Reception).

Visits to our school are both warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact Suzy Stephens-Jephcote on 0115 9151560 to arrange an appointment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
