Year 5 Class Teacher

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential

We are seeking an enthusiastic, inspiring and committed Year 5 or Year 6 Class Teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning and who wants to help us continue to achieve excellent learning outcomes for our pupils.

We offer a modern, well-resourced school with friendly and supportive colleagues and governors. Our pupils are well behaved, eager to learn and motivated to achieve their full potential. We also offer a health and wellbeing benefit scheme for staff and their children.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be a dedicated teacher who is committed to ensuring that every pupil reaches their full potential. You will have high expectations of yourself and your pupils and will create a positive, engaging and inspiring classroom environment.

You will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
  • The ability to provide high-quality teaching, pedagogy and practice to secure consistently good or outstanding teaching and learning.
  • A strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • The ability to contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
  • The ability to create and maintain a dynamic, engaging and inspiring learning environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
  • High expectations of pupil achievement, behaviour and progress.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and helping children to succeed.

Communication

Applicants for this public-facing post will need to demonstrate the ability to converse fluently in spoken English and provide effective help, advice and support to pupils, parents, colleagues and other members of the school community.

Safeguarding

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with previous employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
