What we require:

  • UK Qualified Teacher status (QTS).
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities.
  • Passionate about learning, teaching and assessment.
  • Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to a variety of audiences including pupils, staff, colleagues and parents.
  • Effective behavioural management skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and supportive and effective learning environment

Additional Information:

  • This position is for a fixed term maternity cover.
  • The job description is a guide to the duties the post holder will be expected to undertake. It’s not intended to be exhaustive or exclusive and will be subject to change as working requirements dictate and to meet the organisational requirements of the school and the Trust.
  • All staff are required to participate in training and other learning activities and in performance management and development as required by the Trust’s policies and practices.
