The posting

As a cover supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring that students have a high-quality learning experience when their usual teacher is away from school.

What makes this role different is that you have the opportunity to enrich the lives of our young people, developing and providing engaging activities after school.

You will manage classroom behaviour to ensure pupils stay on task and facilitate the activities that have been designed by teaching staff to ensure that students complete the work in an effective learning environment.

This role offers you the chance to step in and lead lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, primarily for KS3 and KS4 students, with occasional work at KS5. You’ll also have the opportunity to make a broader contribution across the Academy.

This is a permanent role , working for 37 hours per week, term time only.

You will:

  • Supervise the students in KS3, KS4 and occasional KS5, working on pre-set learning activities in the absence of a teacher.
