The posting
We are seeking an experienced and inspirational senior leader who will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with NPQH and additional professional qualifications/training being advantageous.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the National Curriculum, statutory requirements, assessment, and teaching strategies that support all learners.
- Have a proven track record of leading behaviour, attendance, and whole-school improvement initiatives.
- Use data effectively to drive school improvement, raise standards, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Lead and support staff through high expectations, performance management, professional development, and coaching.
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment where pupils can thrive.
- Show strong knowledge of safeguarding, safer recruitment, SEND, and Keeping Children Safe in Education requirements.
- Manage resources and budgets efficiently to maximise impact on pupil outcomes.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, governors, external agencies, and other schools.
- Demonstrate excellent leadership skills, including organisation, delegation, communication, and conflict resolution.
- Lead with resilience, positivity, empathy, and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Inspire confidence across the school community and clearly articulate the school's vision and values.
- Have experience of senior leadership at Deputy Headteacher level or equivalent (desirable).
