The posting
We are looking to appoint an organised, efficient and committed individual to support our Designated Safeguarding Lead and to provide advice to staff regarding child protection and safeguarding matters.
The successful candidate will have a background of working with children (11-18) preferably in an educational setting as well as working with parents/carers and external agencies. Previous experience of working in a safeguarding role would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Support the DSL with safeguarding and child protection across the school.
Provide safeguarding advice, guidance and training to staff.
Manage safeguarding concerns, referrals and records appropriately.
Work with external agencies and attend multi-agency meetings.
Support vulnerable pupils and families, including appropriate interventions and signposting.
Monitor and support identified vulnerable pupil groups, including attendance and progress.
Assist with safeguarding administration, audits, policies and compliance.
