The posting

We are seeking an exceptional teacher to join Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form (KNGS) as our Design Technology/Resistant Materials Teacher. KNGS is an Ofsted Outstanding school and part of the West Midlands Multi Academy Trust. We have a comprehensive intake and a co-educational sixth form. We are proud of our vibrant, socially and culturally diverse school, which lies in the heart of our community, and is highly regarded in our local area and beyond.

At the heart of KNGS is a culture of care, high expectations and ambition. We want every pupil to flourish and achieve their potential, supported by adults who know them, believe in them, and provide the care and support we would want for our own families. Through respect and courage, we create the conditions for our pupils to thrive academically, personally, and socially, leaving KNGS ready to make a positive contribution to the world beyond school.

The post is available from January 2027 on a full time, permanent basis (main or upper salary range).

The post has arisen due to the retirement of the current postholder. Design Technology/Resistant Materials sits within the arts faculty, a well-established, dedicated and experienced team who work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for our students. We offer excellent CPD within a supportive culture. We invest in the professional development of our staff, so they meet their career potential. The school is committed to improving staff well-being.

We offer: -

  • A dedicated, talented staff who are committed to the ongoing development of the school.

  • A commitment to your professional development and work-life balance, alongside high expectations for all staff.
  • Teacher’s Pension Scheme.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Supportive well-being initiatives and workload reduction focus groups.
  • A cycle to work scheme.

We hope that what you have read motivates you to find out more about our school and ultimately, apply for this role. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
